New Members of the Council of the Lech Kaczyński National School of Public Administration

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki presented appointment letter to 12 members of the Council of the Lech Kaczyński National School of Public Administration (KSAP). The Council supports the implementation of KSAP's mission as regards the development and directions of the School's activities, while ensuring that the curriculum is consistent with the needs and challenges of public administration in Poland.

The Lech Kaczyński National School of Public Administration


The Lech Kaczyński National School of Public Administration was founded in 1990. It operates according to the Law and reports directly to the Prime Minister. Its mission is to educate and prepare civil servants and senior administration officials for public service.
Based on the cooperation with public administration, universities and other academic institutions, as well as national and foreign organisations, KSAP provides professional full-time and continuing education as well as carries out numerous projects aimed at the public administration, the civil service in particular. To date, KSAP has trained over 100,000 administration employees.
Over 1,300 KSAP graduates work at all levels of public administration, in Poland and abroad. These include ministers, heads of central offices, directors-general, directors of departments and offices, ambassadors and consuls, as well as presidents of banks. 


Council of the National School of Public Administration


The competences of the Council include, among other things: giving opinions on the directions of functioning of the school, general rules of recruitment, didactic process, as well as recommending changes and making proposals in the aforementioned scope.
The Council may consist of up to 25 members. The following representatives of the highest public administration bodies sit on the Council ex officio:
•    Minister for Public Administration, 
•    Minister for Public Finance, 
•    Minister for Foreign Affairs, 
•    Minister for Higher Education, 
•    Head of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, 
•    Head of the Civil Service, 
•    President of the Civil Service Board, 
•    Head of the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland, 
•    President of the Supreme Audit Office, 
•    President of the Supreme Administrative Court. 
The second group consists of representatives of science, practice and opinion-making circles appointed by the Prime Minister for a five-year term. Today, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki presented the appointment letters to:

At its meeting, the Council elected Piotr Müller as the Chairman of the Council of the National School of Public Administration.
