Following the meeting, they announced a strategic investment by the American tech giant in Poland. Microsoft will allocate nearly PLN 3 billion for the construction of a data center and the development of artificial intelligence in Poland. The investment will be completed in 2026 and will primarily enhance Poland’s cybersecurity capabilities.

    European leaders who participated in an informal summit in Paris on Monday agreed that the closest possible cooperation among all NATO allies is essential. Europe must increase its own military potential to effectively respond to modern threats and support Ukraine. After the talks in the French capital Prime Minister Donald Tusk emphasized that there is unanimity on the need to increase defense spending. Before the meeting, the head of the Polish government assured that Poland would not send its soldiers to Ukraine.

    Prime Minister Donald Tusk met with Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai at the Google for Startups Campus in the Praga Koneser Center in Warsaw. As a result of the memorandum of cooperation signed between the state-owned Polish Development Fund and Google, the company will make billion-dollar investments in Poland, contributing to an 8% increase in the country’s GDP. Google has been expanding and investing in Poland for 20 years and has supported Polish entrepreneurs for the last 10 years.

    "Peace has appeared on the horizon for the first time since the beginning of this full-scale war. For Poland, that would be something exceptionally positive, considering the entire geopolitical context,” Prime Minister Donald Tusk said ahead of the final Cabinet meeting of the year. Earlier, the head of government took part in a meeting with European leaders and the NATO Secretary General, during which the first stage of peace negotiations was assessed. The Prime Minister also called for unity and for the need for close cooperation among state institutions, especially on matters related to security. Today, the Cabinet adopted a draft law regulating the status of a closest person in informal partnerships. "This is a basic civilizational minimum that Poland must be able to afford,” the Prime Minister said. The draft is the result of a compromise that has a realistic chance of securing a parliamentary majority.
