The number of COVID-19 cases and deaths in Poland is currently low. However, the pandemic has not ended yet, and the coronavirus disease is still a force to be reckoned with. We must stay vigilant – other virus mutations pose a major threat. The government is preparing an action plan for the 4th wave that might come. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki participated in a staff meeting on the epidemic situation in Poland. The head of government – together with the Minister of Health and the Medical Council – discussed new virus variants and an action plan to be implemented in autumn.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki participated in a videoconference of the leaders of Berlin Process countries as part of the Western Balkans summit. The main goal of the discussion was to sum up the past 7 years of cooperation as part of the Berlin Process and to define actions necessary to strengthen economic development in the Western Balkans.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and President Andrzej Duda visited the construction of the Vistula Spit canal. The investment is not only an opportunity to develop the region, but an opportunity to ensure economic growth of the entire country. The Vistula Lagoon will become navigable for many vessels, including ferries, cruise ships, and cargo ships. Region accessibility and trade will improve.

At the heart of our country's migration policy is concern for the security of Poland - millions of Polish women and men. Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced the adoption of the government's strategy - Taking Back Control, Ensuring Security, which aims to regain full control over migration and reduce the irregular crossing of Polish borders as much as possible. Prime Minister also talked about other government commitments, which were successfully carried out.
