Prime Minister Donald Tusk supports the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity every year. This time, he donated an unusual item to the WOŚP auction – an automatic, gold-plated pencil of General Władysław Sikorski. The head of government also added a book, important to him, entitled “The Fall of the Roman Empire” with his autograph. We encourage you to bid!
Exceptional items to be auctioned off by Prime Minister Donald Tusk as part of GOCC
Prime Minister Donald Tusk joined the collection of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. The Head of Government – on behalf of Mr Zbigniew Sztranc, the owner of the item – offered a unique object for auction.
This is an automatic gilt pencil that used to belong to General Władysław Sikorski – Prime Minister and Minister of Military Affairs of the Second Republic of Poland, Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Poland in Exile. Remembered as the founder and Commander-in-Chief of the Polish Armed Forces. The General received this pencil during a trip to the United States from the President of the Polish American Congress.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk also included a book entitled “The Fall of the Roman Empire” with his autograph.

Play Together With the GOCC
On 28 January 2024, the 32nd Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity will be held under the motto “Post-pandemic lungs. We play for kids and adults alike!”. The GOCC will use the money raised to purchase equipment for the diagnosis, monitoring and rehabilitation of children and adults with lung diseases in pulmonology wards.
