Prime Minister hosted a picnic party at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister: Dear children, the Prime Minister's Chancellery belongs to you today
04.06.2022
Children's Day is the most beautiful and cheerful day. Many wonderful memories come to mind on this day. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki invited children and their guardians to celebrate together in the gardens of the Prime Minister's Chancellery. Animations for smaller and bigger ones, handicraft workshops, racing and speedway motorbike simulators, lots of games and activities - these are just some of the attractions that took place during the picnic. Our event entertained, but also taught. Children could learn the basics of first aid or how to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
The Prime Minister recalled the words of the "national children's educator" Janusz Korczak "A child wants to be good. If it doesn’t know how – teach the child. If it doesn’t know why – explain to the child. If it can’t do it – help the child."
“I think this is a credo for all of us for life. When we teach children goodness, we become better ourselves. When we show children a beautiful world, we perceive its uniqueness ourselves," emphasised Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki
Among the youngest participants of the picnic were also children from Ukraine. The Head of Government expressed his special wishes to them for a soon return to their homes, fathers and brothers.
Lots of attractions and great fun
Children could take on the role of a police officer and learn about road safety rules. They could also feel like a rally motorcyclist and use racing and speedway motorbike simulators.
Other attractions prepared for children included dog training demonstrations, first aid demonstrations, as well as face painting and handicraft workshops. There was also a delicious food zone. In addition, many artists performed on stage, making the time pass more pleasantly with their music and dance performances.
Creating family-friendly policies that are consistent and long-term is one of the government's priorities
We recently celebrated International Day of Families. At that time, the Prime Minister in the Raszków commune emphasised that the family must know that it can count on support from the state.
This year we also celebrate the 6th anniversary of the 'Family 500+' programme. It is a programme that has proven that investing in the family is worthwhile. The government does not stop there and meets new challenges. We have implemented further solutions that support Poles, such as family care capital and subsidies for nursery stays. In 2022 only, we will allocate PLN 62.3 billion for pro-family programmes.
