A New Phase of Hybrid Warfare

Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński reported that we now have had a potentially new situation in Belarus. “From the data we have at the moment, one would think that there would be about 8,000 troops from Wagner's group,” prime minister noted. “This could mean a new phase of hybrid warfare. A much more difficult phase than the one we had faced so far,” he assessed.  

For this reason, decisions have been made to strengthen Polish defense on the eastern border, both in terms of ad-hoc and permanent activities. “Reinforcement refers to an increase in the number of troops that will be there permanently, as well as to an increase in the number of different types of obstacles and fortifications to protect our border should it be attacked,” Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński explained.

Committee of the Council of Ministers for National Security and Defense Affairs

The Committee is a subsidiary body of the Council of Ministers and the Prime Minister. Its tasks include ensuring the coordination of preparations, activities and efficient decision-making in matters of state security and defense. The Committee also recommends proposals to the Council of Ministers or the Prime Minister in this scope. In particular, it prepares analyses on internal affairs, and the issues of public order, defense and justice.
