Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki: I will do everything to ensure that Polish chess can flourish

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has taken part in the opening ceremony of the Enea Ekstraliga 2022 Tournament – the Polish Team Chess Championship. The Head of the Government said that every young man who fell in love with this game would be a good and wise Pole. The Prime Minister opened the game by making the first chess move.
Chess players: an inspiration to young people
Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki thanked chess players for making Polish chess famous. "Thank you for being an inspiration to young people," said the Head of the Government. "Every young person who has fallen in love with this game will be a good and wise Pole," he added.
The head of the government announced that he would do everything to ensure that Polish chess could flourish. "I want Polish chess players to have the same support as that of international competitors," he said.
Polish Team Chess Championship
This is another championship chess competition played in Bydgoszcz recently. It includes the Brda River, the Polish Super Cup, as well as in the Polish Sugar Ekstraliga in fast chess. Currently, the most prestigious classical chess is being played.
The championship is organised by Gwiazda Bydgoszcz on behalf of the Polish Chess Association. The competition takes place until 11 September at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music. Fans can follow the Polish Team Championship, in which contestants play with each other – not only in the game room, but also online, on social media.
