Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Kozienice wished children and parents happy holidays

23.06.2023

On 23 June 2023, more than 4.7 million children and young people across Poland began their summer holidays. The end of the school year in Kozienice was attended by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. The head of the Polish government also visited the new building of the Special School and Educational Centre. From 1 September 2023, 100 students will be able to study there. The investment received funding from, among others, the Government Fund for Local Investments. This is another example of action taken with care for every individual and an expression of the solidarity policy pursued by the government.

“The mission of our government is, first and foremost, to create a state that will be a state for everyone, in all aspects of life - those related to education, the search for career paths, the development of every individual, and also open to those who are less fortunate than most of us, who had a more difficult start in life,” stressed the head of the Polish government.

New building of the Special School and Educational Centre

A new building for the Special School and Educational Centre was constructed in Kozienice. The investment was financed, inter alia, from the Government Fund for Local Investments. A school building with appropriate infrastructure (including rehabilitation or therapy rooms), a gymnasium and a hall of residence were constructed. From the next school year, 100 pupils will be able to start school in the new building and 60 will be using the hall of residence.

“We started a special programme several years ago to improve the quality of special schools across the country. It is not just this one school, there are more than a dozen such schools, which are either being modernised, thoroughly renovated or built from scratch, so that they can serve these wonderful, dear young compatriots of ours, children, young people, who need to be specially looked after,” pointed out Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

End of the 2022/2023 school year

The head of the Polish government in Kozienice wished children and parents happy summer holidays:

“Today the final bell will ring or has already rung. I wish you, your parents, good, beautiful holidays. Rest up and come back here with a smile on your face. Come back, because this school will take good care of you. I am convinced of that. And all over Poland, all teachers, all educators, I ask you to approach this greatest treasure of our homeland, which is our children and our youth, with beautiful care,” stressed Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

Polish justice policy

The repair of public finances, including the fight against the VAT mafias, has made it possible to change the policy over the past few years. As the head of the Polish government emphasised, justice is a key value. It is with this in mind that we initiate various measures aimed at levelling the playing field and supporting, in particular, those who need it most. This would not have been possible if it were not for additional funding in the Polish budget.

“With our deeds, we will confirm that these are not just words, not just an announcement, but that our promises are followed by the implementation of those promises in the form of beautiful centres such as this one,” said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
