Modernising the Polish army with the support of Korean technology

Poland is expanding its armed forces - we are increasing the number of soldiers, creating new units and buying state-of-the-art military equipment. The Republic of Korea is one of our partners in this process. The meeting between Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and the President of the Republic of Korea was an opportunity to discuss specific issues related to Polish-Korean military cooperation.

Already this year, the first deliveries of Korean armaments for Polish soldiers have arrived - modern K2 tanks, K9 howitzers and FA-50 aircraft.

Future technologies and advanced infrastructure

We are developing nuclear power in Poland - thus safeguarding our energy security and independence. Poland is also cooperating with Korean partners in this area. We are acquiring modern and safe nuclear energy production technologies. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki discussed with the President of the Republic of Korea the details and prospects of cooperation on this issue.

The politicians also discussed the construction of the Central Transport Port. With this project, our countries are exchanging valuable experience in the construction of advanced communication infrastructure.

Polish-Korean relations are developing strongly

During the meeting, the head of the Polish government and the President of the Republic of Korea discussed the further development of our economic, trade and cultural relations. The Republic of Korea is one of Poland's key economic partners in Asia. In recent years, trade turnover has been growing dynamically and has reached a record value of over USD 10 billion.

In addition to trade with Poland, Korean companies are also choosing to invest in our country - among them are LG and SK Nexilis. Korean investments represent an influx of advanced technologies and innovations that create high-paying jobs for Poles.
