Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki on changes to the health care system: all this is for Poles to be able to get the best possible conditions for treatment
28.11.2022
Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has visited the District Complex of Health Care Institutions in Czeladź. The facility is an example of good health care management and positive changes in this area over the last few years. It is also a place where Polish, Ukrainian and Canadian doctors take care of patients from Ukraine. Soldiers as well as victims of mass rocket and bombing raids are sent to Czeladź. The Head of the Polish Government thanked all the staff for their work.
"I would like to thank the Polish staff, and also the Canadian and Ukrainian staff, who here together - hand in hand - are working to restore the chances to a normal life and save the lives of many other patients and their return to health” emphasised the head of the Polish government.
We are improving the health care system
In order to introduce changes in health care, it was necessary to start by repairing the public finance system. From 2015 to 2023, spending on health care has doubled. This shows the scale of our effort and how much we have committed to making more resources available in health care. The change is also visible in the valuation of medical procedures.
–We want hospitals like the one in Czeladź to be our business cards. Not only would no city in Poland be ashamed of such a hospital; I think that we are reaching European level in many dimensions of patient treatment – said the Prime Minister.
We care about our eastern neighbours
The facility in Czeladź is also an example of our solidarity towards Ukraine. Every day, our eastern neighbours are fighting, and some of them are being injured or killed. They are not giving up because they want to live in a free country, and they are also fighting for our freedom. Therefore, it is our duty to help those who have been cruelly treated by barbaric invaders.
”Two days ago, I talked to President Zelensky in Kyiv. I told him that we were fully aware that you Ukrainians were fighting for our security and freedom on the front lines, and we want to continue to help you, because this is solidarity”, said the Head of the Polish Government.
