Mortgage payment holidays - half a million people have already benefited from them 

Under the government's mortgage payment holidays, you can use to option to suspend repayment of 8 installments. Your loan must meet the following conditions:

• be in PLN;
• pertain to a real property used for your own housing needs;
• be taken out before 1 July 2022, and its repayment date must fall at least six months after that date.

You decide in which months you want to suspend loan repayments. You can suspend no more than:

• 2 installments from 1 August to 30 September 2022;
• 2 installments from 1  October to 31 December 2022;
• 4 installments in 2023 - one in each quarter.

We support borrowers

Government support for mortgage holders is not limited to mortgage payment holidays. Borrowers who, for example, lose their jobs, can use the Borrower Support Fund. The support is up to PLN 2,000 per month for 3 years, bringing the total up to PLN 72,000.

The Fund allows the suspension of installment payments for up to 3 years. If 100 of the 144 installments are repaid without delay, the remainder is cancelled. Learn more about government support for borrowers.

An active state takes care of its citizens

- When some families are losing solid ground under their feet due to rising loan payments, the state cannot stand idly by, the prime minister stressed. Hence the government's support for borrowers. 
 

The head of the Polish government assured that every borrower has the right to benefit from mortgage payment holidays if they meet certain requirements. Any attempt to limit the practical application of these solutions will be punished.

The prime minister stressed that the measures taken by the government are adequate in view of the difficult geopolitical situation and the economic crisis facing all of Europe. The impact of the war in Ukraine on economies across the continent is clearly being felt.
