Poland focuses on nuclear power

The future is a diversified supply of raw materials and energy security. This is why the government has launched a programme to build nuclear power plants in Poland. At the same time, it is important that the technologies used are modern, reliable and safe. In this context, the head of the Polish government discussed, among other things, Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) during his visit to Canada.

"The world's most advanced nuclear solutions will soon be built in Canada and Poland," stressed Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. "This is a milestone in securing a stable source of energy supply for Poland. And this, in turn, is the basis for healthy, good and rapid economic development for our country," he explained.

As the Prime Minister pointed out, Poland wants to adopt SMR technology not only as a user, but also in terms of supply chain and technological expertise. "Talks on this subject with Canadian partners have been very promising," assessed the head of government.

Strong transatlantic alliance is a guarantee of security for Poland

As a member of NATO, Poland advocates the strengthening of transatlantic relations. This is particularly relevant in the context of Russian aggression against Ukraine. "In the last year and a half, the world has polarised drastically, to which Russia has contributed greatly. In this context, transatlantic cooperation is now of great importance," pointed out Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

As the head of government noted, the entire security and economic architecture is currently undergoing change. "Democratic countries must have a technological advantage over non-democratic regimes. This is the only way to ensure world peace," stressed Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. "We want to strengthen transatlantic relations. This is of critical importance to restore peace, stability and prosperity," he explained.
