Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki Took Part in the Ceremony of Naming the Chlipala Bridge in Szczawa after Józef Leśniak

18.09.2022

The bridge in Szczawa had previously been damaged several times by the rough river. Thanks to funds from the state budget, a sustained investment has been made that improves the quality of life for local residents. It is also further evidence of effective cooperation between the state and local self-government. The bridge will bear the name of Józef Leśniak, deputy voivode of Lesser Poland. The head of the Polish government participated in the naming ceremony.

– With such local investments, we are not only attempting to improve the living comfort of the inhabitants and increase the chances of economic development, but most of all we are demonstrating that communal and district Poland is worth supporting and cooperating with - underlined the Prime Minister.

Polska is strong in each and every corner

The head of the Polish government referenced the Vistula Spit ditch, which has already been opened. This is an investment that points in the direction of the development of our country - towards a strong and independent Poland. At the same time, he highlighted that Poland will only be economically powerful if it is strong in each and every corner - not only in the big cities or large agglomerations.

Therefore, we are implementing large, strategic investments, but at the same time also the minor ones in local Poland - those that can be seen from the windows of the inhabitants of thousands of Polish localities.

Better life for all Poles

The Prime Minister also emphasised that the new bridge is the result of the work and persistence of the local community. At the same time, it is proof of the cooperation between the government and self-government. Thanks to the implementation of government programmes that provide funding for investments close to local communities, the comfort of living for all of us increases.

– I can proudly say that all such investments in small localities, smaller communes, make up a whole archipelago of investment changes in Poland, which are to contribute and concur day by day, month by month to a better life for all Poles in each and every corner of Poland - emphasised the head of the Polish government.

Ultimate statesman

The bridge will be named after Józef Leśniak, deputy voivode of Lesser Poland Voivodship. The Polish head of government stressed that through his activities, the deputy voivode had contributed to the development not only of this region and voivodship, but also of Poland as a whole.

– Voivode Józef Lesniak was a very important figure in the Polish politics and it is by all means right to honour him - concluded the Prime Minister.
