For proper physical development, it is essential to practice sports. That is why the government is successively increasing expenditures on the development of sport for children and adolescents. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki visited a primary school in Kryspinów, where a new gymnasium was built, co-financed by the Fund for Physical Development. The head of the government also laid flowers at the bust of Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski.
Support for the development of sports for children and adolescents
Within 6 years, the government has increased expenditures from the Fund for Physical Development allocated to the development of sports for children and adolescents by PLN 1.4 billion, i.e. by nearly 180 percent. New sports programmes have also been introduced with the youngest athletes in mind:
• Club – direct support to small and medium-sized sports environments;
• School Sports Club – organisation of free sports activities for over 300 thousand children and adolescents;
• Sports Holidays+ – organised physical activity in the form of, among other things, sports camps, which has already benefited over 500 thousand people;
• Football school certification programme – training for nearly 60,000 children and funding for over 4,000 football coaches.
Fund for Physical Development
Resources from the fund are used, among other things, to subsidize investment tasks. Support can be obtained under the following programmes:
• Programme of investments of particular importance for sport;
• Programme for the development of small sports and recreation infrastructure of multi-generational character - Open Activity Zones (OAZ);
• Programme for the development of local sports infrastructure ‘Sports Poland’.
Construction of a gymnasium at Primary School No. 53 in Kryspinów
The new gymnasium in Kryspinów was built thanks to, among other things, subsidies from the resources of the Fund for Physical Development amounting to over PLN 1 million. The new gymnasium is connected with the school building by a passage. The building is adapted for the disabled.
