Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki: we are building a better Poland in cooperation with local governments
18.07.2023
Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki visited a kindergarten in Mysłowice, which underwent thermal modernisation thanks to funding from the Government's Local Investment Fund. Government programmes support local government investments. Thanks to our programmes, hospitals, crèches, schools and road or sewage infrastructure are being modernised or built all over Poland. More than 25,000 such investments have already been implemented in the country.
Modernisation and construction of new local government facilities
By sealing the national budget, we are able to create and implement new projects that serve all citizens. Thanks to government funding, more than 25,000 facilities have been modernised or built across Poland – medical facilities, childcare centres, homes for seniors, as well as roads, cycle paths and bridges.
“We have several such programmes that we are intensively developing. The Government’s Monument Reconstruction Programme looks after our architectural jewels. Another programme concerns special economic zones, i.e. attracting investors to create as many jobs as possible, so that Poles earn as much as possible. Yet another concerns areas of former state-owned farms. And under another one you can apply for: roads, hospitals, schools," stressed Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
Cooperation of government and local government
Government programmes represent tens of thousands of investments implemented in different corners of Poland, investments that serve people. These projects help people live better and easier. By fulfilling our commitments, we are improving the quality of life across the country. We make pursuing careers easier for mothers through the availability of kindergartens or crèches. New roads and police stations make life safer for all Poles. Modernised clinics and various health care sites take even better care of our health.
“We cooperate with local authorities who are sometimes very distant from us ideologically, but who try to do everything for the good of their residents. We work hand in hand, government and local government, to improve the lot of all Polish citizens,” stressed the Prime Minister.
We fulfil our commitments
Thanks to the Government's Local Investment Fund, the renovation of the Mysłowice kindergarten has been completed. The local government received more than PLN 1.4 million in funding, which covered the entire cost of the thermal modernisation of the building. Government programmes support local authorities throughout Poland, and the projects implemented under the white and red flag serve all citizens.
“We are turning our commitments into action by implementing various projects and activities such as the funding of this kindergarten and dozens, hundreds of other kindergartens, crèches and schools across Poland,” said the head of the Polish government.
