Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki: We are creating the best possible conditions for investors in Poland

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki met with the representatives of Mercedes-Benz Group AG. The company announced its plans to open a new plant in Jawor to produce fully electric vans. The investment will be worth EUR 1.3 billion. The factory is expected to employ 2,500 people in the future. As the Prime Minister pointed out, the Polish government is creating the best possible environment for investors, both from the tax and regulatory perspective.

Poland – a good place for investment

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki pointed out that Poland is combining education at universities and new trade schools with the needs of investors. “We no longer want to compete with other countries in the region today on who will offer lower labour costs,” emphasised the Head of Government. “What we care about now is the high quality of work, which means good education and high salaries,” he explained.

As Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki pointed out, consumers are increasingly paying attention to product quality. “In Jawor, the world-renowned quality of the Mercedes brand meets the quality of work of Polish engineers, project managers and employees,” emphasised the Head of Government. “This creates the best possible environment for investments,” he added.

Mercedes electric van plant in Jawor

Mercedes-Benz has decided to open a new plant in Jawor in the Lower Silesia region. It will produce fully electric vans. The investment will be worth EUR 1.3 billion. According to Mercedes-Benz, the new plant will employ more than 2,500 people in the future. Currently, the Jawor plant produces engines for passenger cars and electric batteries.
