Participation in the 12th Maritime Convention and visit to the shipyards of the Remontowa Holding group – these are the main points of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki's visit to Pomerania. The head of the government assured that Poland needs the shipbuilding industry. In recent years, we have witnessed the development of the maritime sector in our country. Polish ports on the Baltic Sea already handle more than 100 million tonnes of cargo annually. During the 12th Maritime Convention at the Gdańsk University of Technology, universities from the region signed an agreement of intent on scientific cooperation for the development of offshore wind power. This is an important step towards the implementation of green solutions in the maritime sector.

Pomeranian shipyards are one of the largest employers in the region. Remontowa Holding is the biggest shipbuilding group of companies in Poland, managing 25 companies from the shipbuilding industry. They specialise in repairing and building ships, vessels and offshore drilling units.
Cooperation of the maritime industry with Polish universities
Cooperation with universities is an indisputable advantage for the Polish economy. Innovation and advanced technologies can be introduced even faster. This is a mutual benefit.
“I am sure that what we are able to create together with Polish universities will lead to a number of additional effects for the Polish economy,” said the head of the government.
