Today, on August 25, the disbursement of the 14th pension began. This is one of the elements of the fight against inflation. We want seniors to be financially secure. This year, about 9 million seniors will receive the 14th pension. We will allocate over PLN 11 billion for the payment of this benefit. The head of the Polish government met with seniors in Siennica. Over PLN 11 billion will go to pensioners
We have started the payment of the 14th pension. Seniors who receive benefits up to PLN 2,900 gross will receive it in full: PLN 1,338.44 gross. Above this amount, the “1:1” rule will apply. This means that the 14th pension it will be proportionally reduced.
About 9 million pensioners will receive the 14th pension. We will allocate over PLN 11 billion for the payment of the benefit this year. Seniors can spend this additional money on necessary medicines, shopping or a small renovation.
Retirement and disability pensioners will also receive the 13th pension. We introduced an annual payment of this additional benefit in 2020. Seniors received a total of PLN 13.1 billion as part of the 13th pension in 2022.
Government programs developed with care for our seniors in mind
The head of the Polish government met with seniors at the Senior Club in Siennica. Our priority is to provide comfortable lives for those who built Poland in very difficult times. This is why we have implemented a number of programs:
- Senior+;
- Active+;
- Care 75+;
- Medications 75+;
- Senior Support Corps;
- Mom 4+.
“For me, the most important thing is to continue all the programs that all together can be brought to a common denominator: the state with a heart. The state that understands its grandmothers, grandparents, fathers, mothers who lived in difficult times, like the post-war years, educated themselves and us, their children. And for this I thank you all from the heart,” said the Prime Minister.

He also visited the Chamber of Remembrance, where you can see documents, trophies and souvenirs, which are a rich achievement of over 100 years of activity of the firefighters in Siennica.
