23.05.2023

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has announced that the state-of-the-art technology hub will be established in Poland by Visa, one of the global leaders in digital payments and banking. It will be the company's first such technology centre in Europe and fifth in the world. Choosing Poland for the location clearly shows that we are a very attractive country for investment in new technologies. We owe it to, among other things, educated and talented Poles on the labour market as well as stable institutions and investor-friendly policies. New investments in our country mean new jobs and higher wages.

Visa's technology hub in Poland demonstrates confidence in the Polish market

Visa will launch a strategic technology centre in Poland. It will develop new products and IT solutions for digital payments. It will also contribute to the extensive development of open banking. The state-of-the-art technology hub will make it possible to utilise the talent potential in our region. New technology companies see excellent conditions for development in Poland and have confidence in our market.

- I am glad that today we have the opportunity to present another large, interesting technological investment here in Poland. This time Visa, one of the most famous institutions in the world, has once again trusted Poland," stressed Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. – The characteristic feature of such investments is that they attract further investments, he added.

Poland is becoming an increasingly well-known centre for various hubs, production, technology and service centres around the world. Poland's high investment attractiveness translates positively into the economic development of our country.

Education of Poles is a great asset for our country

Visa's decision to establish Europe's first and the world's fifth technology centre in Poland is very good news for our labour market. The company plans to employ, in connection with the investment, 1,500 IT specialists. New jobs mean new prospects for many - especially the young.

- We discussed whether and how to construct special university or technical programmes to include as many highly-skilled people as possible in this new technology hub. All of this always brilliantly enriches our development model, makes our economy more competitive, more advanced," said the head of the Polish government.

Poland attracts companies from all over the world

We have favourable solutions for domestic and foreign entrepreneurs. There is a policy in place that encourages and attracts the best companies from all over the world - especially those that can help Polish companies develop innovations. This makes our country in the eyes of investors.

- I am glad that here the dimension of transatlantic cooperation between Europe and the United States in the framework of free world countries is deepening and consolidating through further powerful investments by companies such as Visa, known to everyone around the world," stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
