Poland in Qatar

The Embassy, in cooperation with LULU - the largest supermarket chain in the region, has launched a program of the Polish food promotion. The Ambassador, together with the management of LULU International, inaugurated the presentation of Polish food products and Polish cuisine in the LULU supermarket located on the Pearl – one of the most prestigious districts in Doha.

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland co-hosted workshops promoting inbound tourism to Poland with the participation of companies from Poland, Qatar and Oman.

This year Iga Świątek won the Qatar TotalEnergies Open tournament once again. Polish tennis player was accompanied by her loyal Polish fans during all matches in Doha.

During the closing ceremony of the World Paramotor Slalom Championships, which took place on Lusain Boulvard, Bartosz Nowicki - the winner of this year's competition received the trophy. The Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Qatar met the Polish team.

Polish representation of paramotor pilots and a Polish paramotor display group The Flying Dragons Team participate in the International Championships and other sporting and promotional events in Doha.

The meeting’s objective was to discuss regional issues and the continuation of support plans for Ukraine

The visit to Qatar Tourism and the preparations for the visit of a group of nearly 20 tourism promoters confirm the mutual attractiveness of the tourist offer. The meeting with the new head of QT was devoted to cooperation plans in the spirit of the MoU on tourism signed in 2011.

The talks with Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Faisal Al-Thani focused on summarizing the current cooperation between the units subordinate to the Ministry of Interior as well as new possibilities of cooperation between Civil Defense structures in both countries. The host also thanked for the participation of Polish units in the preparations for World Cup 2022.

The meeting with the Head of QFC was devoted to cooperation in organizing the 5th edition of Qatar-Poland New Tech Forum 2024 in Warsaw. QFC has been a long-term partner of the Embassy in organizing events promoting economic cooperation between Poland and State of Qatar.

General Hamad Othman N. Al-Dehaimi hosted representatives of the Embassy at the Civil Defense Headquarters. The meeting was devoted to discussing cooperation between the countries and the Qatari experience in civil protection of large-scale sporting events, as well as civil training designed to enhance crisis response.
