Completion of the extended period of social assistance

Article 15z8 of the Act of March 2nd of 2020 on the special measures introduced to prevent, counteract and combat COVID-19, other infectious diseases and crisis situations was repealed on April 15th of 2022. This regulation extends the time limit for the provision of social assistance and medical care, despite the conclusion of the international protection proceedings by a final decision.
The extension of the period for providing social assistance was related to difficulties in starting the integration programme implemented by District Family Assistance Centres. At present, there are no longer any such difficulties, so there is no need for further extension of social security benefits and medical care.
Accordingly, the provision of cash benefits and medical care to foreigners who have received a final decision on international protection will end on 15th May 2022.
