Access to the Office

The building of the Office for Foreigners where the Help Centre for Foreigners can be found is located in Warsaw at 33 Taborowa St. The Office can be reached by public transport. The nearest bus stop is Klobucka, bus line 165.

The Registry Office (window no. 2): 8:15 am - 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday

Complaints and requests are accepted during these hours. Letters are submitted directly to the Office's general secretariat, which forwards them to the specific substantive units of the Office in accordance with their competence. The information regarding opening hours is available at the Registry Office in four languages (Polish, English, French and Russian).

Border Guard Division: 7:30 – 15:30, Monday – Friday

Visiting hours: 8:15 am - 2:30 pm, Monday – Friday

Building accessibility and markings

The name of the Office for Foreigners is visible at the front of the building. The main entrance to the Office is situated on the right-hand side of the building. The emblem of the Republic of Poland and an information plate with the name of the Office are situated in the front of the building, on the right side of the main entrance. A ramp for wheelchairs is situated on the right side of the main entrance to the Office. The (external) entry door are marked in contrasting colours, and their width allows for unrestricted wheelchair access. The doors are not controlled automatically, however a security guard is always present at the door to help open the door. The entrance to the customer/foreigner service area is separated by a metal detection gate and a luggage scanner. Additionally, a gate allowing for a free passage of a person in a wheelchair is situated on the right side of the entrance. Security personnel room is situated after the metal detector gate. Customer service are with five service desks, including one for people with physical disabilities is situated on the right side of the entrance. Accessible toilet is also located on the ground floor.

The Office for Foreigners meets the standards of a building adapted to the needs of persons with disabilities, and it is free from architectural barriers.

The foreigner servicing area consists of:

• reception hall with 5 reception windows,

• 1 facility for mother and a child.

The reception hall is divided into:

• 4 posts serviced by the employees of the Office (window no. 1 – Department for Social Assistance, window no. 2 – the Office’s Registry Office, window no. 3 – Department for Refugees Procedures, window no. 4 - Department of Archives and Records of Foreigners),
• 1 post (window no. 5) serviced by an employee of the Border Guard employee
• 3 desks, a table and an area for children corner equipped with a table and 4 chairs for children, pens, pencils, paper, crayons.
An accessible toilet is also situated on the same floor.

Information for persons with disabilities

A person with disabilities may be assisted by a third party or an accompanying dog.

Persons with impaired hearing

We provide the assistance of a Polish Sign Language interpreter. Persons with impaired hearing may be assisted by an interpreter on site at the Office. Persons who wish to use the assistance of the interpreter must submit a request to the Office at least 3 working days prior to the scheduled visit. Please propose a meeting date in the application and describe the subject matter of your case in the application. The application may be submitted to the Office in person.

Persons with visual impairments

We can prepare documents printed in enlarged format per the request of persons with visual impairments.
