Consequences of lodging an application for international protection
Lodging application for international protection causes that the enforcement of the return procedure is not initiated, and the procedure that was initiated beforehand, is suspended – however as a rule, it does not apply to the successive application for international protection.
In case of the situation when the foreigner declares that he or she is willing to apply for the international protection or when such a procedure is in process, the return decision is neither issued nor executed – however as a rule it does not apply neither to the successive declaration nor successive application for international protection.
