Duties of cultural assistants of the International Organization for Migration (IOM)

In the Foreigner Service Team of the Department of Social Assistance at ul. Taborowa 16, cultural assistants of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) are on duty on selected days of the week. Intercultural assistants support foreigners, among others: in the following areas:
• education (enrollment in kindergartens, enrollment in schools, vocational education for adults);
• labor market in Poland, rules of taking up work;
• possibility of using the help of family assistance centers;
• disability - disability determination;
• ways of coping with the loss of housing, using shelters;
• car registration, exchange of a foreign driving license for a Polish one;
• the ability to travel to other countries, including your country of origin;
• formalities when entering into marriage.

The assistance of cultural assistants is provided in the following languages: English, Russian, Arabic, Persian and Spanish, and, if necessary, also in Turkish, Kurdish and Ukrainian.
Cooperation with IOM also includes legal consultations, which take place once every two weeks at the Foreigner Service Team of the Department of Social Assistance at ul. Taborowa 16.
