Since the beginning of the year, over 2 thousand citizens of the United Kingdom and the members of their families have filed applications for the issuance of residence permits. They confirm the use of the rights of the beneficiary of the Withdrawal Agreement when crossing the border and during the stay in Poland. The possibility to replace the residence permits issued before the end of 2020 remains open only up to 31st December 2021. That is why it is recommended to file the applications as soon as possible.

Due to the continuing state of epidemic, we have introduced daily and hourly schedule of visits for providing your fingerprints, collect residence permits as well as the Geneva Convention travel documents. The counter no. 3 at 33 Taborowa St. will only accept individuals who had previously scheduled a visit.

We remind you that in connection with the current epidemiological situation, amendments to the law came into force[i] providing for, inter alia, special solutions for foreigners in Poland. The current regulations allow people who want to pursue their current purpose of stay or cannot leave Poland due to the spread of SARS-CoV-2 virus to stay legally in the country.

How can you register for vaccination against COVD-19 if you do not have a PESEL number?

Starting from 5 March 2026, the Head of the Office for Foreigners issues certificates to the victims of torture or rape, being the temporary protection beneficiaries holding the PESEL number with UKR status, in order to confirm such a circumstance. In order to issue the certificate confirming such a circumstance, the temporary protection beneficiaries, who due to the Russian aggression on Ukraine became the victims of torture or rape, should attach all related documents, among others medical and judicial documents as well as information on reporting these facts to the law enforcement authorities, to the application for issuing the certificate.

Please be advised that the development of the new MOS portal is nearing completion. At least 14 days prior to its launch, the Minister of the Interior and Administration will issue an official announcement specifying the exact date.
