Permit for temporary residence – change of qualification of the application

I have a permit for tempo-rary residence for studying. I have moved from full-time to part-time studies. Can this affect my permit?

Yes, because the purpose of your residence has changed. The original one is no longer pursued, so the permit may be withdrawn. The Law on Foreign Nationals requires you to notify your Province Governor of the cessation of the reason why you were given the permit. If you intend to stay in Poland, you should obtain a visa or residence permit reflecting your current purpose. Note that permits for temporary residence for studying full-time (under art. 144(1) of the Law on Foreign Nationals) and permits for temporary residence „for other reasons”, such as part-time studying (art. 187)(1)(a)) are based on other requirements and confer different rights.
