22.12.2021The Act on compensation for communes in connection with the changed scope of taxation of wind farms has been adoptedOn 17 December, the Senate of the Republic of Poland adopted the Act on compensation for income lost by communes in 2018 in connection with the changed scope of taxation of wind farms, as submitted by the Minister of Climate and Environment. According to it, compensation will be paid to communes in 2022 based on an application submitted, as attached to the Act. The document will be submitted to the President of the Republic of Poland for signature.

The meeting, which was held on 20 December, was attended by Minister of Climate and Environment, Anna Moskwa and Deputy Minister Adam Guibourgé – Czetwertyński.

16.12.2021The Agreement on cooperation for the development of photovoltaic sector signedOn 16 December 2021, the representatives of governmental administration and the stakeholders of the solar energy sector in Poland signed the Agreement on cooperation for the development of photovoltaic sector. The purpose of this initiative is to support development of the sector and maximise the share of the domestic photovoltaic device industry in the supply chain. The event was attended by the Director-General of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), Francesco La Camera.

16.12.2021Ordinance of the Minister of Climate and Environment on template reports on the implementation of the plan of material and service supply chain signedOn 15 December 2021, the Minister of Climate and Environment, Anna Moskwa, signed the Ordinance on template reports on the implementation of the plan of material and service supply chain. The template report will be used by the producers implementing the designs of the offshore wind farms in the Polish Exclusive Economic Zone within the first and second stage of the support scheme.

Tomorrow, on 16 December, all are invited to donate blood in more than 40 sites in Poland. Those who will share their gift of life will be endowed with living Christmas trees by the foresters.

13.12.2021Deputy Minister Dziadzio about discovering the unique fossils in MazoviaThe perfectly preserved dinosaur fossils have been discovered in the open pit mine in Borkowice in the Przysucha District in Mazovia by the team of the Polish scientists from the Polish Geological Institute – National Research Institute and the Uppsala University. The press conference presenting this discovery held on 13 December 2021 in Warsaw was attended by Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment, Chief National Geologist, Piotr Dziadzio.

10.12.2021PGE Energia Ciepła and KOGENERACJA have signed agreements with National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management to co-finance investment projects in Siechnice and ZgierzThe Management Board of PGE Energia Ciepła and the Wrocław Combined Heat and Power Plant Group KOGENERACJA of the PGE Group, in the presence of Anna Moskwa - the Minister of Climate and Environment, signed three agreements with the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW) for co-financing the construction of CHP plants in Siechnice and Zgierz. The event took place on 10 December at the Ministry of Climate and Environment. The total amount of preferential financing granted is nearly PLN 352 million.
