25.04.2019Expert meeting of the Forest Cooperation Mechanism with Vice–Minister Małgorzata GolińskaOn the 24th of April, the Ministry of Environment hosted an expert meeting of the Coordination Mechanism for Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern Europe Countries (CEEC) – 16+1 Forestry. The meeting was attended by representatives of Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, China, Croatia, Czechia, Hungary, Latvia, Macedonia, Poland, Slovakia, Serbia and Slovenia.

24.04.2019Good proposals for Forest Districts in the Białowieża Primeval ForestThe growing threat to the life and health of residents and tourists, enormous fire risk and the need for active protection of valuable habitats and species force foresters from the forest districts surrounding the Białowieża Primeval Forest to take the necessary measures. That is why the Minister of Environment Henryk Kowalczyk presented a package of comprehensive proposals of legal solutions for three forest districts – Białowieża, Browsk and Hajnówka – during today's conference. The conference was also attended by Vice-Minister Małgorzata Golińska.

17.04.2019Minister Kowalczyk's working visit to the Białowieża Primeval ForestMinister of Environment Henryk Kowalczyk and Vice–Minister Małgorzata Golińska met with representatives of local governments, entrepreneurs and residents of the Hajnówka District. The meeting concerned the current legal situation in the Białowieża Primeval Forest. The General Director of the State Forests Andrzej Konieczny and foresters from three local Forest Districts were also present in the starost’s office.

13.04.2019My eco-bag – every dayOn Holy Saturday, Minister Henryk Kowalczyk and Vice-Minister Sławomir Mazurek, presented the residents of Otwock with eco-bags. In this symbolic way, the highest officials of the Ministry of Environment encouraged shoppers at the local market to use reusable bags.
