Poland in Denmark

On 25 September, the “Science: Polish Perspectives Meetup Copenhagen. The Technologies of Tomorrow” conference was held at the Technical University of Denmark, jointly organized by BioFrontiers Association and Polonium Foundation in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Copenhagen.

On 25 September, representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland, the Embassy of the United Kingdom in Copenhagen, the Polish-Danish Association in Næstved and the Polish community together with local residents paid tribute to Polish airmen and members of the Christensen family who died in the plane crash on 17 September 1943.

In his book The Prince, Niccolò Machiavelli mentions a certain rule of history. He writes, not without a touch of irony, that “all armed prophets have conquered, and the unarmed ones have been destroyed.” But to every rule there is an exception, and unarmed prophets have been vindicated by history more than once. Even though the vindication usually comes late, it is no less emphatic. A perfect example of that is the historic victory of the Polish Solidarity movement and its extraordinary “Appeal to the Working People of Eastern Europe” proclaimed 40 years ago.

The modern history of Poland from 1918 was the subject of presentation and discussions at the Rubicon historical club in Fredericia on 22 September.

From 16 to 19 September, the festival of Polish-Danish Jazz Days took place in Copenhagen. The festival presented the richness of the Polish-Danish jazz scene and the joint Polish-Danish projects.

On 15 September 2021, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Copenhagen, together with PAIH and the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI), organized a presentation of the Polish cybersecurity sector, the #CyberMadeinPoland cluster and Polish technological solutions entitled "Meet Polish Companies within Cybersecurity".

On 14 September, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Copenhagen in partnership with the Polish state development bank BGK, organized a conference “The Three Seas Initiative - connecting Europe, connecting regions” in Copenhagen. The aim of the event was to provide insight into priorities of the Three Seas Initiative and discuss investment opportunities stemming from the Three Seas Initiative Investment Fund. Three Seas Initiative (3SI) promotes interconnectivity of infrastructure in the energy, transport and digital sectors on the north-south axis in full synergy with the EU strategic agenda and Next Generation ЕU. It brings together 12 countries located between the Baltic, Black, and Adriatic seas – Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Austria, Croatia, Romania and Bulgaria.

The film “Last Whistle” and the animation “Co-ognition” represented Poland at the film festival in Odense.
