Polish-Korean economic cooperation and Korean investments in Poland - these are the main topics of today's meeting of the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Technology, Grzegorz Piechowiak, with the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Poland, Mira Sun.

The act, prepared in the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, concerning construction of single-family houses for own residential purposes with the footprint of up to 70 square metres, has been signed by the President of the Republic of Poland. Thanks to these regulations, the construction of single-family houses with a built-up area of up to 70 square metres will be much easier. This is one of ten key regulations included in the government's Polish Deal programme.

Digital transformations in the economy, Industry 4.0, development of green energy and expansion of smart cities - these were the topics of discussions attended by the Deputy Ministers for Development and Technology - Olga Semeniuk, Marek Niedużak, Artur Soboń and Piotr Uściński during the autumn edition of Impact'21, which was held in Poznań on 27-28 October.

President Andrzej Duda, on the proposal of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, appointed Piotr Nowak to the post of Minister of Economic Development and Technology.

Polish-American economic relations, including the issue of American investments in Poland, were the main topics of today's conversation between Deputy Minister of Development and Technology Grzegorz Piechowiak and representatives of the Polish-American Business Council.

The Polish economy has come out of the pandemic unscathed, it is attracting a record number of investments and GDP is growing and reaching the pre-Covid-19 level - said Deputy Ministers for Development and Technology Olga Semeniuk and Marek Niedużak during this year's edition of the European Forum for New Ideas, held October 20-22 in Sopot.

This year we celebrate the 25th anniversary of Poland's membership in the OECD. On this occasion the Ministry of Development and Technology took the initiative to have the Polish Post issue a commemorative stamp "25 years of Poland in the OECD". The official presentation of the stamp was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister Grzegorz Piechowiak and representatives of the management of the Polish Post.

Polish start-up Anmet was this year's winner of the Polish-German Economic Award. The company from Szprotawa received the award at a gala organised by the Polish-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Polska) in Warsaw, which was attended by the deputy head of the Ministry of Regional Development, Grzegorz Piechowiak.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has appointed Artur Soboń as Secretary of State at the Ministry of Development and Technology. From 8 October 2021, he also serves as Plenipotentiary of the Prime Minister for Local Development.
