Possibilities of developing Polish-Turkish economic cooperation and eliminating access barriers to the Turkish market – these were the main issues discussed by the Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin and Turkish Minister of Trade Mehmet Muş, who visited Warsaw today.

The list of barriers hindering the cross-border activity of Polish entrepreneurs on the European Union market is included in the report prepared by the Ministry of Economic Development, Labour and Technology. The Black Book was created on the basis of comments and cases reported directly to the Ministry by entrepreneurs. It will be forwarded to the Commissioner responsible for the Internal Market and the Member States with the intention to look together for practical solutions to identified irregularities.

A diagnosis of the condition of Polish industry and a resulting prescription for its optimal and sustainable development, as well as a catalogue of pre-made tools and programmes to help in this process – these are the effects of the works carried out by the Ministry of Economic Development, Labour and Technology with the participation of industry and expert circles on a strategic vision of the development of Polish industry. Poland's Industrial Policy provides guidance and well-defined forms of support for industrial sectors. It also serves to reinforce reindustrialisation, which is important from the EU perspective, and to establish strategic autonomy. The Industrial Policy is a part of the Plan for Labour and Economic Development.

The Łódź Special Economic Zone hosted 26 investors and 19 start-ups. Their paths crossed in one place, as the Łódź SEZ creates opportunities for cooperation between young technology companies and investors. The food, furniture and chemical industries dominated among the investors. Start-ups on the other hand provide support in the optimization and digitalization process of companies, thus offering another step towards strengthening the competitiveness of the Polish economy.

Ministers Andrzej Gut-Mostowy and Tonči Glavina discussed possibilities for closer cooperation, tourism exchange between the two countries and promotion during the opening panel of the 8th Warsaw Tour Promotion Forum and during bilateral discussions at the headquarters of the MEDLT.

“The Decade of Action - a Sustainable Economic Recovery - the main challenges for achieving the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals” were the key issues addressed during the video conference in V4+ format, attended by Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin.

Meeting with the Minister for Food and water Safety, participation in the Hotel Show discussions with representatives of the government agency Sharjah FDI, as well as with representatives of Polish businesses in Dubai – are the main points of the visit held by the Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Labour and Technology Grzegorz Piechowiak in the United Arab Emirates.

Public consultations on the revision of the act on investments in wind Power plants and some certain other laws are nearing completion. The investment in wind energy on land will help us to fulfil the principles of the Polish Deal. We are going to provide Polish citizens with access to clean and cheaper energy, Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Labour and Technology Anna Kornecka said at the press conference today.

Economic cooperation, national reconstruction plans and strategic autonomy were among other topics raised by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development, Labour and Technology Jarosław Gowin during a bilateral meeting with Spanish ministers. By the end of the consultation, the participants signed a memorandum on cooperation in the field of industrial policy.

The perspectives of business and investment cooperation between Poland and Spain, presentations regarding new mobility and rail transport were the key items raised during the Polish-Spanish Business Forum, attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development, Labour and Technology Jarosław Gowin and Deputy Minister Robert Tomanek. The event was held on-line.
