“I am happy that the theses touch on latest developments in foreign policy,” said Minister Jacek Czaputowicz while presenting awards in a competition for the best master’s thesis on contemporary international relations. The award ceremony was held today at the MFA headquarters.

We are concerned and disbelieving to note the statements made by representatives of the Russian Federation authorities, including President Vladimir Putin, about the causes and course of the Second World War.

At its meeting today, the working group for polar affair (the so-called Polar Task Force) discussed efficient polar policy management, challenges related to sea and ocean pollution, effective digital diplomacy tools in promoting Poland’s polar policy and new international initiatives of Polish scientists.

During a meeting with representatives of several ministries, the deputy head of Polish diplomacy outlined the achievements of Poland’s presidency of the Berlin Process, particularly the results of the Poznan Summit held in July 2019.

“I thank you for your effort, everyday work and diligence in fulfilling this honourable, but sometimes difficult mission in the consular service,” Minister Jacek Czaputowicz said at a ceremony to honour Jakub Wawrzyniak, Polish Consul General in Cologne, with the Consul of the Year Award.

“Having in mind the diversity of the Polish community in the world – its different groups, countries and needs – we seek to come up with new initiatives to match this richness,” the deputy foreign minister said at today’s meeting with representatives of the Polish community and Poles from Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Brazil.

“Good memories of the time spent in our country will encourage programme participants to become Poland’s informal ambassadors,” said deputy chief of Polish diplomacy during today’s event. Speaking to scholarship holders, Deputy Minister Jabłoński emphasised that Polish scholarship programmes share a common goal: encourage talented youth to come to Poland and study at its top universities. “I am convinced that it is an investment with a high return rate,” pointed out the deputy MFA head.

Revitalising the multilateral system and creating multidimensional and sustainable connectivity between Europe and Asia were the main topics discussed at the ASEM Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Madrid.
