The agenda of Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz’s visit to Reykjavík centred around the prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation, including means to forge closer economic links and the matters concerning the Polish community living in Iceland.

“The NATO jubilee meeting has demonstrated that after 70 years the Alliance is doing well,” said Minister Jacek Czaputowicz at the meeting of foreign ministers of the North Atlantic Alliance in Washington DC on Thursday.

“The US presence in Europe is instrumental to the deterrence of potential aggressors,” Minister Jacek Czaputowicz told the ministerial panel at a forum held by the Center for European Policy Analysis in Washington to mark the 70th anniversary of signing the North Atlantic Treaty.

“Nuclear issues are again at the top of the current international agenda, appearing daily in the media,” said the chief of Polish diplomacy during a UN Security Council briefing, which ended the second day of his visit to New York.
