While in Washington, Minister Sikorski met with his counterpart, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Director of the National Economic Council Kevin Hassett, and President Donald Trump’s National Security Advisor Michael Waltz.

Yesterday Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Washington. It was the first meeting of the two officials, preceded by a phone call on 23 January 2025.

On 17–19 February, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Henryka Mościcka-Dendys together with members of the Advisory Legal Committee participated in a study visit to The Hague. The purpose was to exchange information and step up cooperation with representatives of top international judicial institutions.

Today in Warsaw, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski received the Minister of State for International Trade of the United Arab Emirates Thani bin Ahmed Al-Zeyoudi.

Maximising support for Ukraine, maintaining current policies towards Russia and Belarus, as well as strengthening the European Union’s and its partners’ security and resilience are the priority areas for the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union as part of common foreign and security policy. Minister Radosław Sikorski outlined them at today’s session of the European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs.

Minister Radosław Sikorski met today with the new head of Belgian diplomacy Maxime Prévot. The main issues raised during the meeting were Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the US proposals to end the war.

Today, Polish MFA Undersecretary of State Marek Prawda and Deputy Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania Megi Fino held talks to review bilateral relations and discuss Albania’s integration process with the EU. During the meeting, the officials also spoke about the security situation in Europe, helping Ukraine, the situation in the Western Balkans, including prospects for the region’s European integration.

Undersecretary of State Marek Prawda met with Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Olena Kondratiuk. The talks covered the prospects of ending Russia’s aggression against Ukraine as well as the process of Ukraine’s accession to the European Union, among other topics.

Poland does not recognise the legality of the so-called presidential election held in the Georgian region of Abkhazia by the separatist authorities in Sokhumi on 15 February 2025.

On 14–16 February, in Munich, the head of Polish diplomacy Radosław Sikorski took part in the 61st edition of one of the world’s most important global security conferences. During the conference, Minister Sikorski attended discussion panels and held a number of bilateral meetings with his counterparts and other foreign partners.
