A fourth round of political consultations between Poland and Oman was held on 21 October 2024 in Muscat, attended by Secretary of State at the Polish MFA Andrzej Szejna and Undersecretary of State at the Foreign Ministry of the Sultanate of Oman Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Issa Alharthy.

Nearly 100 journalists from 30 countries took part in the 7th Forum of Polish Media Abroad. Held under the patronage of the Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs, the event took place in Warsaw and Pułtusk between 17 and 20 October.

During the meeting of Deputy Minister Mościcka-Dendys and Ambassador Beth Van Schaack held on 16 October 2024, the parties discussed mechanisms to hold accountable those responsible for violations of international law in connection with the conflict in Ukraine, as well as the international criminal liability of Belarus.

On Monday, 14 October, France and Poland held consultations in Paris about development cooperation. Deputy Foreign Minister Jakub Wiśniewski met with France’s Minister of State for Francophonie and International Partnership Thani Mohamed Soilihi to discuss ongoing matters in that field, in particular in the context of preparations for Poland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2025.

Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski represented Poland at a Berlin Process Summit held in Germany’s capital on 14 October.

Today’s meeting in Luxembourg focused on Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and the situation in the Middle East.

During a two-day visit to Chicago, Deputy Foreign Minister Henryka Mościcka-Dendys took part in the celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the Polish American Congress and met with representatives of the Polish community in the Chicago consular district.

Following the attacks on the UN Interim Force base in Lebanon, a group of countries participating in the mission issued on October 12, 2024 in New York a joint statement upon Polish initiative. As many as 44 countries, including three UN Security Council permanent members, condemned the attacks on UN peacekeepers, called for their immediate cessation and for ensuring proper protection for UN personnel in accordance with international law.
