The European Vocational Skills Week takes place on 16-20 May 2022, in the framework of which the European Public Employment Services organize the European Employers Days 2022.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Minister Marlena Maląg attended a family picnic in Raszków on Sunday. ‘Financial security of Polish families is the apple of our eye, it is our priority; our state will not survive if strong families cease to exist’ - said the Prime Minister.

The International Day of Families, which falls on 15 May, is a good opportunity to take a closer look at the actions for families in Poland, implemented by the Ministry of Family and Social Policy. – From the flagship “Family 500+” programme, family care capital and co-financing for nurseries, through the Large Family Card to the “Mother 4+” programme. From the very beginning of our rule, the family has been our absolute priority – stresses Minister Marlena Maląg.

Investing in the future of children and their upbringing is the foundation of a well-functioning and happy family. This is the aim of the family care capital that has become a new, real measure of support for many people with small children in Poland. ‘It allows, in particular, to finance part of the expenses for children’s care.’ ‘It contributes to family trips or holidays.’ ‘It is a form of support to buy milk, clothes and toys’ - these are only some example opinions on this allowance that is directed to approx. 615 thousand children.

Minister Marlena Maląg along with the Management of the Ministry held a meeting with a delegation from the European Parliament. The discussion covered the war in Ukraine, including the access of those arriving in Poland to the social benefits system and the labour market.

Minister Marlena Maląg held a meeting with Susanne Raab, the Minister of Women, Family, Integration and the Media of the Republic of Austria. The ministers shared their experiences and good practices regarding the integration of foreign nationals, in particular in the context of the assistance granted to Ukraine.

- It is important that we stay loyal during this difficult time and the assistance for the Ukrainian citizens reflects our solidarity, including from the European Union budget - stated Minister of Family and Social Policy Marlena Maląg during the OECD panel on the support for the Ukrainian citizens. The meeting was attended, among others, by Mathias Cormann, the Secretary General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

- Our priority is to help the Ukrainian citizens who have arrived in Poland after the Russian aggression against Ukraine find a job - said Minister Maląg at the following meeting of the government and self-government team for the war refugees from Ukraine. Deputy Minister Barbara Socha also attended the meeting.

Poland is once again at the forefront of the European countries with the lowest unemployment rate. The Eurostat data demonstrate that the unemployment rate in Poland was equal to 3% in March. - This is a very good result, all the more that the EU average was 6.2% - says Marlena Maląg, the Minister of Family and Social Policy.

The Ministry of Family and Social Policy hosted a meeting with Mathias Cormann, the Secretary General of the OECD. The meeting was chaired by Marlena Maląg, the Minister of Family and Social Policy, and was attended by: Deputy Minister Barbara Socha, Deputy Minister Anna Schmidt, State Secretary of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister Janusz Cieszyński, Deputy Minister of Education and Science Wojciech Murdzyk, and Director of the Department of Public Administration of the Minister of the Interior and Administration Grzegorz Ziomek.
