The Polish labour market recovered from the losses of employment caused by the coronavirus pandemic crisis. According to the Eurostat data, in the third quarter of this year, there were 377 thousand more people working than the year before. The situation is also better than in the same period of 2019, i.e. even before the pandemic.

This year’s celebration of the Day of the Social Worker in Lusławice and Brzesko in the Małopolskie Voivodeship was held with the participation of the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg. – I know you are aware of your role and the difficulties you have to cope with. You are a community of people with a mission who help those who are most needy – said Minister Maląg.

Good news comes from the labour market. According to the Statistics Poland data, in October the unemployment rate in Poland was 5.5%. In September, it was 5.6%. – The Statistics Poland thus confirmed the previous estimates of our ministry. We are glad about these reports, which show that the situation is stable – says the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg.

Almost three quarters of working parents admit that their employer created the right conditions for them to combine work and family life and more than half say that the family-oriented policy is important for their employer. These are the findings of the Kantar study for the Ministry of Family and Social Policy. Strengthening families, pursuing the effective family-oriented policy cannot be complete without the participation of employers – as the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg, comments on the study results.

The keynote of the debate held on Monday at the Ministry of Family and Social Policy was: “PRO FAMILIA employer – what does it mean in practice?” The participants in the meeting discussed the situation in the labour market and the solutions that contribute to combining family life with work.

On 17 November 2021, the Sejm adopted an amendment to the Act on foreigners and certain other acts, which amends, inter alia, the Act on the promotion of employment and labour market institutions.

On Tuesday, the Deputy Minister of Family and Social Policy, Barbara Socha received the award “Defenders in the name of the family”, presented by the “Catalonia Platform for the Family”. In this manner, the association awarded the activities promoting family values. – This is thanks and appreciation for the whole family-oriented policy pursued by the government of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki – says Barbara Socha, who is the Government Plenipotentiary for Demographic Policy.

103 years ago, Poland regained its independence, after one hundred and twenty-three years of captivity it returned to the maps of Europe. Minister Marlena Maląg took part in the celebrations held in Ostrów Wielkopolski, commemorating the anniversary of regaining independence by Poland.
