Macroeconomic indicators show that Poland has coped with the pandemic. Owing to billions of PLN invested in saving jobs, today the situation in the labour market is stable. We are going further, because there are new opportunities ahead of us. This is the best moment to give Poland an impulse for further, effective development – said the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg during Tuesday’s speech at the 590 Congress.

Housing for persons with disabilities, cars, financing the creation of new Occupational Therapy Workshops and Occupational Activity Centres, as well as rental of rehabilitation equipment – these elements form a package of additional support instruments called „Independence – Activity – Mobility!”. For these activities, PLN 1 billion will be allocated over the next three years.

Additional support for families with children, investment in human capital, making it easier for parents to reconcile family life with work – these are the most important objectives of Family Care Capital. It means PLN 12 thousand for the second and subsequent child between 12 and 36 months of age – regardless of income. The Sejm adopted the act on this matter.

The National Senioralia 2021, held on Wednesday in Tomaszów Mazowiecki, was a real festival of elderly people, as well as an opportunity to meet and present the talents of the gifted seniors. The event was attended by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Minister of Family and Social Policy Marlena Maląg.

Demographic changes and the ageing of society are reasons for which the questions about the quality of life of elderly people in Poland are becoming increasingly important. What is needed are comprehensive solutions providing this age group with adequate support and care.

That is why Family Care Capital has been created – a new financial solution, which will cover about 615 thousand children next year.

Minister Marlena Maląg and Secretary of State Stanisław Szwed attended the celebrations related to the 39th Pilgrimage of Working People of NSZZ „Solidarity” in Częstochowa. The Pilgrimage was held under the motto „Our Mother, we entrust to you the Homeland and the Working People”.

On Monday, the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg, attended the opening of the Centre for Social Services in Kozienice. But this is not the only facility to be built in Kozienice thanks to government co-financing. During the meeting, the Minister gave the Mayor of the commune a promise to co-finance the creation of a Care and Residential Centre.

The Deputy Minister of Family, Barbara Socha, attended the debate entitled „Family, demography, state”, which was held at the „Poland, a Great Project” congress. The Congress, held for the 11th time, serves to debate on the strategic development challenges facing Poland in the coming decades.
