On Sunday, the National Festival “Thankful for Polish Farmers” was held in Bobolice. The meeting with the farmers was attended by, inter alia, the Minister of Family and Social Policy Marlena Maląg, who awarded the Meritis Pro Familia badges of honour to families from the Zachodniopomorskie Voivodeship.

„Senior+” Day Homes and Clubs are unique and valuable places with a rich offer of activities for the elderly. – Thanks to this year’s edition of the programme, the number of establishments throughout Poland will exceed one thousand, 112 new centres will be created. This is excellent news. In 2015, there were only 99 of them across the country – points out the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg.

The new regulations are to enter into force on 1 January 2022 and provide for the introduction of a new benefit addressed to families with children – a maximum of PLN 12,000 for the second and subsequent child. Also, support of the care system for children up to the age of 3 will be increased.

By the regulation of the Prime Minister, the current scope of activities of the Minister of Family and Social Policy has been extended to include the labour section.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki together with the Minister of Family and Social Policy Marlena Maląg, Deputy Minister Barbara Socha – Government Plenipotentiary for Demographic Policy and the President of the Family Council Dorota Bojemska, met with the representatives of the Family Council, the Association of Large Families, non-governmental organisations and families to talk about the issue of importance for the Poles - their own flat.

On an ongoing basis, we observe the incoming opinions and, above all, we listen to the opinions of parents themselves. Therefore, it is the parents themselves who will decide whether they are going to make use of the new benefit for one year in the amount of PLN 1,000 per month, or whether they are going to receive support for two years – PLN 500 per month. – as the Minister of Family and Social Policy Marlena Maląg says with respect to Family Care Capital. The draft act has already been submitted for public consultation.

The draft Demographic Strategy 2040, published in June 2021, is the first such a comprehensive document in Poland addressing the adverse trends in the area of demography. From now on, it is possible to become familiar with the report on the Survey of conditions for improving the demographic condition of Poland, conducted upon request of the Ministry of Family and Social Policy for the purposes of developing the Strategy. The document is available on the gov.pl/demografia/badania website, where it is possible to find the full bibliography along with direct links to key materials and surveys.

On Monday the Speaker of the Sejm Elżbieta Witek together with the Minister of Family and Social Policy Marlena Maląg visited Lower Silesia. They met there with the inhabitants of Chocianów, and the topic of conversation was primarily the Polish Deal. It was also an opportunity to hand over a promise to the Federation of Universities of the Third Age to implement a project under the "Aktywni+" programme.
