The promotional campaign based on three social media spots will convince young people that being a father and active presence in the child’s life is a real life adventure – available at hand for each man.

    Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, Minister of Family and Social Policy Marlena Maląg and Government Plenipotentiary for Demographic Policy Barbara Socha presented a draft Demographic Strategy 2040. The strategy assumes getting out of the trap of the low fertility rate and getting closer to a level that guarantees the replacement of generations. The Government plans to achieve this objective by means of long-term, multi-area measures removing the barriers which discourage the Poles from pursuing their family aspirations. Among the priority areas of intervention, there are the programmes of the Polish Deal and new initiatives supporting flexibility and stability of work and improvement in the quality of health care.

    Today, i.e. on 15 June the Council of Ministers adopted a draft regulation of the Ministry of Family and Social Policy amending the rules for the call for applications to the “Good Start” programme for the 2021/2022 schoolyear.

    A significant change in the Large Family Card is coming in great strides. Starting from 9 June, the Large Family Card will be available in the mObywatel (mCitizen) app. – This will make the Large Family Card even more modern and will also significantly reduce bureaucracy. This is good news for families – says Marlena Maląg, Minister of Family and Social Policy.

    Staying active – in physical, intellectual, but also social terms – is extremely important to remain fit at an older age and enjoy life. – I am glad to announce that within the framework of this year’s edition of the “Active+” programme, more than 290 organisations received co-financing for projects to activate seniors for a total amount of PLN 37.7 million – said Marlena Maląg, Minister of Family and Social Policy.

    The year 2021 brought changes in the “Family 500+” programme – from now on, the right to receive parental benefit is set for the period from 1 June to 31 May of the following year. – This new benefit period starts today. I would like to remind you that only submitting an application by the end of this month guarantees that parental benefit will be paid with compensation from 1 June – indicates Marlena Maląg, Minister of Family and Social Policy.

    Greater assistance to those of particular merit for Poland – this is the main assumption of the amendment to the Act on anti-communist opposition activists and persons persecuted for political reasons which has just entered into force. – This includes, inter alia, additional holiday leave, higher financial assistance and, in some cases, higher pensions. In this way, we want to redress a wrong experienced by persons of particular merit for Poland many years ago – says the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg.

    On the occasion of the Mother’s Day, a meeting with the mums, organised by the Ministry of Family and Social Policy, was held in Józefów. The discussion on the family policy was attended by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, Minister Marlena Maląg, Government Plenipotentiary for Demographic Policy Barbara Socha as well as the Chair of the Family Council, Dorota Bojemska.

    – The National Vaccination Programme is the best way to defeat the pandemic – said Minister Marlena Maląg during a press conference dedicated to vaccination against COVID-19 held at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. The Minister also presented the measures taken in this respect against persons with disabilities, their carers and seniors.
