Social economy is a type of activity where people play the most important role and issues related to profit maximisation or individual benefits are less important, as what is crucial here is to achieve social objectives.

“Good start” online soon, changes in the maintenance fund – at the last session, the Sejm discussed the subjects important to families. Let us explain what is going to change in the nearest future and how everyone – especially families – will benefit from it.

The Agreement between the Republic of Poland and the Republic of Turkey on social security, signed in Warsaw on 17 October 2017, and the Administrative Arrangement on the application of this Agreement, will enter into force on 1 June.

The great socio-economic reform in which we put the family at the centre of attention – this is how the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg, describes the Polish Deal presented on Saturday. It includes family-oriented solutions from many areas, inter alia, housing, taxation and labour market policies, as well as much more expenditure on developing a network of care institutions for the youngest children. It will also include measures addressed to seniors.

From now on, Miejsce Piastowe, Pleszew, Boguszów-Gorce, Otwock and Katowice may use the title of the Local Government PRO FAMILIA 2021. The winners of the competition were announced at the V4+ COALITION PRO FAMILIA conference, by the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg.

“Mother 4+” is a supplementary parental benefit for those who have devoted themselves (mainly women) to bringing up four, five or more children and thus had to resign from professional career or had to limit their working hours below the threshold required to receive even the minimum pension. This benefit is a certain form of appreciation for parents who have taken on the hardship of raising several children - says Minister of Family and Social Policy Marlena Maląg.

Counteracting homelessness, supporting entities in adapting special units for the homeless, inspiring and promoting innovative solutions in this respect – these are one of the main aims of the “Overcome Homelessness. Assistance Programme for the Homeless.” – 42 entities are going to receive co-financing under this year’s edition of the programme for the total amount of PLN 5.5 million. 5 years of the “Family 500+” programme is a feeling of security, investment in the future of the children, satisfied little and bigger dreams, leisure time together, home renovation. The beneficiaries themselves are going to share their stories about what they were able to do, and how did the care benefit alter their daily lives. We let the families speak for themselves.

Today, on April 1st, we are celebrating an exceptional anniversary – 5 years after the launch of the “Family 500+” programme. – A lot has happened during that time, and the lives of plenty of families has changed for the better. The recent years have proven, that investment in family is beneficial for everyone involved. We have proven that the “impossible” is possible – says Marlena Maląg, the Minister of Family and Social Policy.

The first pensioners will receive additional benefits on Thursday. In total, nearly 10 million pensioners will receive the thirteenth benefit. Over PLN 12 billion will be allocated towards benefits.
