The implementation of the European Union financial perspective for 2021-2027, support for Ukraine from EU funds and the country's post-war reconstruction were the main topics of talks between the Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy, Grzegorz Puda, and representatives of the European Commission

Summing up two decades of cross-border cooperation between Poland and Ukraine was the main topic of the meeting between Deputy Minister for Development Funds and Regional Policy, Małgorzata Jarosińska-Jedynak and local government officials from both countries, which took place in Przemyśl. On this occasion, the deputy head of the MDFRP also announced the first competitions for Polish-Ukrainian projects.

The future of cohesion policy, creating the conditions for Member States to be represented at the HLG and joining the discussion initiated by the European Commission following the publication of the eighth report on economic, social and territorial cohesion (the Cohesion Report) was debated in Bratislava. The Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy, Grzegorz Puda represented Poland at the meeting.

The annual report for 2022 is the main topic of today's meeting of the Monitoring Committee of the Smart Growth Operational Programme 2014-2020 with the online participation of the Deputy Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy, Małgorzata Jarosińska-Jedynak.

The topics discussed during the first meeting of the Monitoring Committee of the National Recovery Plan, which met at the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy included the adoption of the Regulations, progress in the implementation of investments under the NRP, as well as planned amendments to the NRP.

The Solidarity Transport Hub company will finance the construction of a road flyover in Żyrardów and a tunnel for pedestrians and cyclists in Międzyborów in the Jaktorów commune. These facilities will enable safe coverage of the Warsaw - Koluszki railway line, one of the busiest railway routes in Poland. The original location of the flyover was changed following the consultation with residents and local authorities. An agreement to this effect was signed today by the government plenipotentiary for the Solidarity Transport Hub (STH), representatives of the company and the authorities of Żyrardów.

On 15 May 2023, the Prime Minister, Mateusz Morawiecki appointed Jadwiga Emilewicz as the Government Plenipotentiary for Polish-Ukrainian Development Cooperation and on request of the Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy, as the Secretary of State.

The Bieszczady region is supposed to be close and friendly to the local inhabitants and, at the same time, green and enterprising. These are the objectives of Programme for Bieszczady. Today, among the representatives of the institutions involved in its implementation, we summarised the effects of the Programme.

A multimodal freight and fuel transhipment hub will be developed at Katowice Airport based on a railway siding. The project received a subsidy from the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency. The investment will be implemented under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) 2021-2027 Military Mobility.

Poland will receive 320.1 million Swiss francs under the second edition of the Swiss-Polish Cooperation Programme (SPCP). An important step to mobilise this money is the SPCP Technical Assistance Agreement signed today. The document was signed by the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy, Małgorzata Jarosińska-Jedynak and the Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to Poland, Fabrice Filliez.
