14.09.2023Safety of residents and drivers, more efficient commuting without the need to drive through the housing estates – this is the aim of the construction of the S1 expressway between Przybędza and Milówka, i.e. the Węgierska Górka bypass. The investment long-awaited by the region’s residents is getting closer to completion. The Minister for Funds and Regional Policy, Grzegorz Puda, participated on Thursday in the operation to finally pierce the last section in the tunnel being excavated in the massif of Barania Góra.

27.07.2023Poland and Slovakia will exchange experience and good practice in the management and implementation of EU funds and take joint initiatives in the use of EU cohesion policy. Such provisions are contained in the agreement on cooperation in the field of cohesion policy between Poland and Slovakia signed by the Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy, Grzegorz Puda, and the Minister of Investment, Regional Development and Information Technology of the Slovak Republic, Peter Balík.

16.07.2023On 19 July, in Otwock, the Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy, Grzegorz Puda, and the Minister of Digital Affairs, Janusz Cieszyński, together with the mayor of the city, Jarosław Margielski, launched the “Cyber Secure Local Government” project. From now until the end of September, local authorities can apply for subsidies for cyber security measures. Almost PLN 1.9 billion will be allocated to municipalities, districts and provinces, of which PLN 1.5 billion will come from the European Funds for Digital Development programme for 2021-2027, Minister Puda announced.

30.06.2023The long-awaited tunnel under the Świna River, which will connect the islands of Wolin and Usedom, is now open. The opening ceremony of the tunnel, the construction of which was supported by the Polish portion of EU funds in the amount of almost PLN 776 million, was attended by government representatives, including the Deputy Prime Minister, Jarosław Kaczyński, the Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy, Grzegorz Puda, the Governor of the Zachodniopomorskie Voivodeship, Zbigniew Bogucki, as well as Mayor of Świnoujście, Janusz Żmurkiewicz and the authorities of the Świnoujście City Municipality.
