‘The involvement of young people in the discussion on creating urban development was an important aspect of the World Urban Forum in Katowice (WUF11). Young people are one of our key partners in this debate. It is them who will live in the cities of the future’, Deputy Minister Małgorzata Jarosińska-Jedynak said at the meeting with representatives of scientific circles who were actively involved in the preparations for the WUF11.

Increased investment in business innovation, development of a more environmentally friendly economy, subsidising transport and road infrastructure, education and health services, and reduction of social exclusion were the goals of the European Funds for Kujawy and Pomorze programme to be implemented in the region in 2021-2027. Priorities of the programme were discussed at today’s meeting of the Funds Academy in Toruń in which Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy Grzegorz Puda and representatives of authorities of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodeship, its local government and entrepreneurs participated.

‘Environmental protection, cross-border mobility, culture and tourism, cooperation between institutions and citizens – these are topics of the cooperation for which applicants can receive funding from the Interreg Poland-Slovakia 2021-2027 Programme’, Grzegorz Puda, the Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy said at the conference opening the programme. Veronika Remišová, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic and beneficiaries of the current edition of the programme who presented effects of their projects implemented as a part of the Polish-Slovak partnership also took part in the event.

The European Commission disbursed the first advance worth 5.5 million euros for the Technical Assistance Programme. Further payments are expected soon.

The European Commission approved another of the eight national programmes implementing the Partnership Agreement. The European Funds for Smart Economy 2021-2027 Programme with its budget of 7.9 billion euros is the largest national programme supporting innovativeness in the European Union.

The progress of negotiation of regional programmes with the European Commission is the topic of today’s meeting of Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy Grzegorz Puda with the Convention of Voivodeship Marshals of the RP.

The European Commission has approved the EU support worth 56.3 million euros for the Polish-Saxon border under the Interreg Poland-Saxony 2021-2027 programme, which will be managed by the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy.
