Letter of Invitation

Welcome to the first Action CA16101 Conference that will take place in the beautiful city of Krakow. The conference is organised and hosted by Professor Dariusz Zuba (Institute of Forensic Research, Krakow, Poland).

This first conference aims to uncover the network capabilities as well as the state of the art of current imaging technologies that are used or could be used in forensic science. For this reasons, this year's sessions will not have a specific theme. It is also hoped that the digital strand and the analytical strand attend each other's presentations to increase the synergy of the network, establish a controlled vocabulary and boost real advancements in imaging science through new collaborations or through strengthening existing ones.

Presentations from Industry, Academia, End Users and from senior individuals as well as from PhD students and Researchers are sought.

The Conference is co-located with MC and WG meetings (II round) and workshops - The Opening Conference will trigger the first of the main networking activities between the Action's parties.

The workshops will be End-user led and will cover the successes, limitations and needs of the end users in connection with the state of the art of their operational practice.

The WG meetings will cover the presentation and discussion of the results obtained through the Round Robin study as well as an action's plan for the dissemination of these results.
