Embassy of the Republic of Poland in New Delhi accepts visa applications from citizens (or residents) of:

•    India residing in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi (NCR), Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tripura, Uttaranchal, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal,
•    Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka.

 

Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Mumbai accepts visa applications from citizens (or residents) of:

•    India who are residing in Andhra Pradesh, Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Goa, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Pondicherry, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Do I have to apply in person?

The application should be submitted personally at one of the VACs.

Diplomatic missions do not accept application forms sent via fax, regular mail or e-mail.

How to book an appointment?

Visa application shall be submitted no earlier than 6 months and, as a rule, must be lodged no later than 15 calendar days before the start of the intended visit

 

To apply for a visa in categories dependent, others, vocational training book an appointment in apropriate category through this website.

Slots for visa appointments in these categories are made available according to the following scheme:

  • Embassy of the Republic of Poland in New Delhi - once a week, every Wednesday at 11:00;
  • Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Mumbai - once a month, on the last working day, two months in advance.

 

To apply for visa in categories work, study register your application through e-consulate. After receiving confirmation of appointment, you must additionally complete the online visa application form via the VFS website.

Slots for appointments for work visa are allocated by electronic draw, according to the following scheme:

  • Embassy of the Republic of Poland in New Delhi - once a week, every Monday at 10:00;
  • Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Mumbai - once every two weeks, on Thursday at 10:30.

Slots for appointments for study visa are allocated as per the order of registration, according to the following scheme:

  • Embassy of the Republic of Poland in New Delhi - three times a week, every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday at 10:00;
  • Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Mumbai - once every two weeks, on Wednesday at 10:30.

What documents do I need to submit? 

Checklists of documents regarding purpose of the trip for the National visa applicants: are published below in "Materials" part.

A national visa applicant shall personally submit a document confirming the possession of Travel Medical Insurance, referred to in Article 25 (1) (2) (a) of the Act of 12 December 2013 on Foreigners  or a document confirming the possession of health insurance as per the definition of the Act of 27 August 2004 on Health care services financed from public funds. Travel medical insurance with an insurance amount of no less than EUR 30,000 must be valid for the period of the intended stay of the foreigner on the territory of the Republic of Poland, cover all expenses that may occur during the stay in Poland due to the necessity of return travel for medical reasons, the need for urgent medical assistance, emergency hospital treatment or death, in which the insurer undertakes to cover the costs of healthcare services provided to the insured directly to the entity providing such benefits, on the basis of a bill issued by this entity.

The visa application fee is non-returnable, whatever the consul's decision. 

What is the waiting time?

A national visa is issued or refused within 15 days from the date of submission of the application, unless the application has been declared inadmissible. In justified cases, this deadline may be extended to 30 days, and if it is necessary to consult the Head of the Office for Foreigners, the decision will be made within 5 days from the date of obtaining the requested information.

How to collect the documents?

Passports submitted through VFS can be collected at the appropriate VFS center.

How to appeal?

You may appeal against consul’s decision within 14 days from the date of collecting the passport. For that you must submit your passport, an appeal letter and make new visa fee payment. 

For applications submitted through VFS, the applications for reconsideration of consul's visa decision can be submitted at the appropriate VFS center.
