29.11.2021 Senat RPThe Senate has adopted, with amendments, the amendment to the Act on the Protection of the State Border– "We have decided that in this situation it is necessary to provide Border Guard officers, police and soldiers with instruments which will make their service even more effective," said Deputy Minister Maciej Wąsik during work on the Act in the Senate. On Friday (26 November), the senators adopted the amendment to the Act on the Protection of the State Border and Certain Other Acts, amending it. The bill will now go back to the Sejm for debate.

18.11.2021The Head of the Ministry of the Interior: I welcome the EC's decision to donate EUR 700,000 to international NGOs and humanitarian organisations to help migrants in Belarus- 'I welcome the European Commission's decision to transfer EUR 700,000 to international non-governmental and humanitarian organisations to help migrants in Belarus. I consider it a response to the letter of 12 November from the Ministers of the Interior of Poland, Austria, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia to international NGOs,' said Minister Mariusz Kamiński. On Wednesday (17th November), the European Commission said it would allocate EUR 200,000 in humanitarian aid for migrants in Belarus. The EU has also secured an additional EUR 500,000 for this purpose.

27.10.2021Senate committees have adopted the Act on the construction of state border protection installations– The current situation forces Poland to immediately undertake further projects that significantly affect the level of protection of the state border, the external border of the European Union, said Deputy Minister Maciej Wąsik. The Deputy Minister of the Interior took part in today's (26 October) joint meeting of the Committee on Local Self-Government and State Administration and the Committee on Human Rights, the Rule of Law and Petitions of the Senate of the Republic of Poland. The committees dealt with consideration of the Act on the construction of state border security installations.
