The Minister of the Interior and Administration has instructed the Chief Commandant of the State Fire Service to prepare a firefighter group to help extinguish fires in southern France. In total, 146 firefighters and 49 rescue and fire-fighting vehicles will be deployed.

On Saturday, 23 July, the Central Police Day Celebrations, attended by Minister Mariusz Kamiński, were held in Katowice. President Andrzej Duda, also present at the event, handed over general-rank nominations for Police Superintendents. During the ceremony, Police Commander-in-Chief Inspector General Jarosław Szymczyk was honoured with the Officer's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta.

On Thursday, June 30, President Andrzej Duda signed an act amending the Act on ssistance to Ukrainian citizens in connection with an armed conflict in the territory of that state. The bill was submitted by the Minister of the interior and Administration.

"This barrier is fundamental for our security. We have prevented the emergence of an eastern European route of illegal migration that would destabilise the political and social situation in our part of the world," said Minister Mariusz Kamiński on Thursday, 30 June, at a press conference near the border with Belarus.

On Thursday, June 23, Deputy Minister Paweł Szefernaker, Government Plenipotentiary for Aid to War Refugees from Ukraine, and Minister-Member of the Council of Ministers, Agnieszka Ścigaj, attended a press conference. The main topic was activities for refugees from Ukraine.

"The new procedures are created so that the state can act decisively, effectively and in an unbureaucratic way in crises. The aim is to provide protection and assistance to victims of various extraordinary situations as quickly as possible," said Minister Mariusz Kamiński. On Tuesday, 14 June, Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński, Minister Mariusz Kamiński, and Deputy Minister Maciej Wąsik presented details of a draft law on civil protection and a state of natural disaster.

We have created a legal framework to secure the fate of people fleeing war and bombs. For three months, Poles have been helping in solidarity with all those who need it," said Deputy Minister Paweł Szefernaker on Tuesday, 24 May. The event was also attended by Minister of Education and Science Przemysław Czarnek, Minister of Family and Social Policy Marlena Maląg and Government spokesperson Piotr Müller.

On 9 May, the International Conference of Ministers for War Refugees from Ukraine was inaugurated by the Head of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, Mariusz Kamiński. The conference was also attended by Deputy Minister Paweł Szefernaker, Government Plenipotentiary for War Refugees from Ukraine, and Deputy Minister Bartosz Grodecki.

Today, on 5 May, in Hostomel near Kiyv, Minister Mariusz Kamiński and Heads of the Ministries of the Interior of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia met with Denys Monastyrski, Minister of the Interior of Ukraine. "This war is black and white; it is a fight between good and evil. Every decent person in the world and every decent country is with Ukraine," emphasised the Polish Minister.

"The purpose of economic sanctions is to hit the Russian economy so that Russia cannot wage war in Ukraine. The Polish sanctions list is complementary to the EU list. It refers to entities and oligarchs conducting real business on Polish territory," said Minister Mariusz Kamiński. On Tuesday, April 26, at the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, a press conference was held on the list of persons and entities subject to sanctions connected with the war in Ukraine. Deputy Minister Maciej Wąsik also attended the conference.
