29.11.2021 Senat RP– "We have decided that in this situation it is necessary to provide Border Guard officers, police and soldiers with instruments which will make their service even more effective," said Deputy Minister Maciej Wąsik during work on the Act in the Senate. On Friday (26 November), the senators adopted the amendment to the Act on the Protection of the State Border and Certain Other Acts, amending it. The bill will now go back to the Sejm for debate.

18.11.2021- 'I welcome the European Commission's decision to transfer EUR 700,000 to international non-governmental and humanitarian organisations to help migrants in Belarus. I consider it a response to the letter of 12 November from the Ministers of the Interior of Poland, Austria, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia to international NGOs,' said Minister Mariusz Kamiński. On Wednesday (17th November), the European Commission said it would allocate EUR 200,000 in humanitarian aid for migrants in Belarus. The EU has also secured an additional EUR 500,000 for this purpose.

15.11.2021The barrier on the Polish-Belarusian border will be built by large companies with comprehensive market experience; relevant contracts will be signed by 15 December of this year and will be fully open to the public; the part of the border where the barrier is to be built will be divided into four sections; work on the respective sections will run 24/7 on three shifts – these were the main decisions made during the first meeting of the Team for the preparation and implementation of state border protection installations.

05.11.2021'The barrier we intend to build on our border with Belarus is a symbol of the determination of the Polish state to limit mass illegal migration into our country. We will not allow any illegal migration route to Europe to pass through Poland,' said Minister Mariusz Kamiński on Thursday (4 November) during a press conference. The Head of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration unveiled details of the construction of the barrier on the Poland-Belarus border. He also presented a visualisation of the installation.

27.10.2021– The current situation forces Poland to immediately undertake further projects that significantly affect the level of protection of the state border, the external border of the European Union, said Deputy Minister Maciej Wąsik. The Deputy Minister of the Interior took part in today's (26 October) joint meeting of the Committee on Local Self-Government and State Administration and the Committee on Human Rights, the Rule of Law and Petitions of the Senate of the Republic of Poland. The committees dealt with consideration of the Act on the construction of state border security installations.
