Today we explored the historic county of Wicklow. First we visited the Gaol (prison) that in the past had been used for imprisoning Irish revolutionaries. Next we drove to the beautifully scenic Glendalough valley, home of a medieval monastery, where we got caught in an awful downpour! Then we traversed the valley to see the gorgeous Lower Glendalough lake. And, last but certainly not least, we travelled to the Powerscourt estate and explored the gardens. They're breathtaking even in winter. It was a great day!

During the third day of our trip we woke up pretty early and drove a long way to the west coast of Ireland. We visited the Cliffs of Moher, where we were able to admire the beatiful view of the Atlantic Ocean and the birds from the top of the cliffs. After that we went to visit the picturesque city of Galway, where we bought a lot of souvenirs while enjoying the view of the historic town.

Day 4. Today we explored Trim Castle which is the oldest fortress in Ireland built in the 12th century.
After that we rode to Dublin and visited the EPIC museum which is an exhibition dedicated to Irish emigration history. It was a wonderful experience as we could learn through interactive games, videos and photos. Next we found ourselves at the Jeanie Johnston ship - a ship full of stories about Irish people leaving the country to run away from the famine. Later we had free time in Dublin so we could have more opportunities to buy souvenirs from this beautiful country.

On the 5th day of our trip we drove to the capital of Ulster/North Ireland, Belfast.
We visited the Titanic Museum, where we had a chance to go back in time and see the origins of this famous ship and learn more about its sad story.
Afterwards we got a sight of the SS Nomadic, which is the last remaining White Star Line ship in the world!
Before heading back to our hotel we took a break to admire Belfast City Hall and explore that unusual place.

On the last day we visited a local farm in Fordstown. At first we had an interesting lesson about Irish bread and its recipe. Then we were making this bread! Next we went to a dance floor and we were learning a local dance to Irish music. Moreover, the farmer showed us a lot of animals like lamas, donkeys and we saw a beautiful relation between him and his animals. Finally, we could eat our freshly baked bread with butter and jam. It was a fantastic day and a great ending to the whole trip.
