Calls for proposals

Non-governmental organizations, local government units, public and non-public higher education schools, research institutes, the Polish Academy of Sciences and its organizational units have for years cooperated with the MFA’s Department of Development Cooperation in implementing activities to promote development assistance, humanitarian aid, global education and voluntary service.

One of the forms of such cooperation are open competition procedures launched to find the best proposals of public tasks aimed at facilitating socio-economic growth of developing countries that are priorities for “Polish Aid,” and their societies.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs organizes the following calls for proposals in the field of Polish development cooperation:

  • “Polish Development Assistance” looks for initiatives which support transition processes and socio-economic development;
  • “Humanitarian Aid” is launched in response to verified humanitarian needs of communities afflicted by armed conflicts, natural disasters or other natural or man-made humanitarian crises;
  • “Polish Aid Volunteering Programme” focuses on tapping into the potential of Polish volunteers ready to commit to improving the living conditions of people in less developed countries;
  • “Global Education” – it selects activities addressed to Polish citizens and aims at raising public awareness of global problems and development challenges around the world and their impact on Poland;

The rules of each competition define the beneficiary countries, the goals and priorities of planned activities, criteria that the project proposals submitted have to meet, and evaluation rules.

You can find information on new competitions on the websites of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs .
